Job Description

The JM&A Group Product Development Department supports sales efforts by maintaining and developing F&I products to be sold by our dealer customers. Primary activities include: Evaluating current product performance, developing new products, benchmarking product pricing and coverage in the market place, insuring products are in compliance with state requirements, developing and maintaining product forms/contracts, acting as a point of contact on all product related inquiries, facilitating Annual Product and Pricing review and facilitating product roll out initiatives.


This position is responsible for supporting the Department's goals and objectives by assisting with the development and implementation of new products.  The ideal associate will be able to collaborate with various department stakeholders and support various other Product Development initiatives as they arise.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing product/ program request, researching potential impacts, developing documentation and creating presentation for Senior Management review
  • Developing pricing recommendations in conjunction with Actuarial Services.
  • Creating detailed product sales analyses for use by department management.
  • Researching operational impacts, developing pricing, documenting launch plan, requesting and analyzing profit models, conducting review and comment and obtaining appropriate signoff based on guidelines. If necessary drafting new form and collaborating with marketing to develop materials.
  • Being available to respond to internal, field and vendor requests for information regarding product. Consulting with stakeholders on options to modify or enhance products. Identifying themes based on requests and raising them with management.
  • Developing detailed implementation plans. Working with operational teams to insure effective launch. Educating field sales and service on product. Developing dealer bulletin and field memo. Creating and implementing evaluation plans for product / program effectiveness.
  • Understanding the competitive landscape and its effect on current product offerings. Being able to identify industry trends and make effective recommendations on product modifications.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience. Automotive experience a plus
  • 3+ years of professional experience in the Finance, Insurance or Automotive environment
  • Must be detail oriented and have excellent organizational, time management, prioritization and follow-up skills
  • Work well in a fast paced environment with changing priorities/deadlines and demonstrate a strong drive for results
  • Demonstrate analytical and project management skills
  • Must have the ability to partner within and across departments to complete tasks
  • Demonstrate strong verbal (public speaking), written and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with and present to stakeholders at all levels of the organization and with outside partners
  • Work well independently with minimal supervision
  • Be responsive to requests from department stakeholders
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience with COGNOS and Tableau a plus
  • Knowledge of JM&A products, systems (mainframe and Sales Connect), and processes a plus
