The JM Family College Internship program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study. The program is a 10 week paid internship located in Deerfield Beach, FL. Students must be available to intern from June 4 - August 10, 2018. Students in the program will actively contribute to their team's success, learn about JM Family's company and culture and obtain new skills through learning opportunities and networking events. The individual selected for this internship will be responsible for supporting their department in a variety of functions and will have exposure to activities related to the department's initiatives. The intern will also gain access to professional development opportunities through the internship program. Some of these opportunities include business presentation skills classes, lunch and learns and career readiness workshops. 



Job Description

The individual selected for this internship will be responsible for supporting the JM&A Group, Human Resources department. This internship will provide an individual the opportunity  to gain exposure to multiple disciplines within the Human Resources groups.


Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: 

  • Providing assistance with all areas of HR including associate relations
  • Maintaining HR compliance and filing systems
  • Assisting in recruitment efforts
  • Researching and collecting data for various HR projects
  • Providing assistance with new hire orientation programs
  • Supporting our HR team with special projects
  • End of Internship Presentation




Job Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent 
  • Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university with a focus on Human Resources, Psychology, or Business
  • Completed at least one semester of study at an accredited college or university
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality 
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to apply creative problem solving techniques and independently manage assigned responsibilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
