The JM Family College Internship program is designed to create an opportunity for college students to have meaningful work experiences that tie to their programs of study. The program is a 10 week paid internship located in Deerfield Beach, FL. Students must be available to intern from June 4 - August 10, 2018. Students in the program will actively contribute to their teams success, learn about JM Family's company and culture and obtain new skills through learning opportunities and networking events. The individual selected for this internship will be responsible for supporting their department in a variety of functions and will have exposure to all activities related to the department's initiatives. The intern will also gain access to professional development opportunities through the internship program. Some of these opportunities include business presentation skills classes, lunch and learns and career readiness workshops. 


Job Description

The individual selected for this internship will be responsible for supporting the JM&A Group, Performance Development department. This internship will offer the opportunity to provide administrative operational support on projects by utilizing organizational, computer, analytical, professional, and project management skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Assist with updating training materials
  • Assist with migrating training materials to content authoring tool
  • Assisting with creating and updating multiple reports
  • Assisting with PowerPoint Presentations
  • Entering information into multiple databases
  • Assist with learner management in learning management system
  • Other departmental support as needed
  • End of Internship Presentation

Job Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • Actively pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university with a focus in Instructional Design/Technology, Organizational Development or related field
  • Must have the ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint knowledge and experience is preferred
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Web development/design experience is a plus
